The Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana is an all-inclusive resort that offers everything you would expect to find in paradise. To give you an idea of its sheer size, there are 756 rooms, including Superior Junior Suites and Club Garden Junior Suites. The size of the resort is important because it indicates how much there is to do -- including two lake-style pools, tennis, golf, restaurants, bars, disco, a casino, watersports, and more. Let's begin with the spa:
After a long day of travel, or simply because you want to relax and make the most of your time away from your normally hectic schedule, you might want to consider a massage. The massages here include an Athletic Massage, Relaxing Caribbean Massage, S.O.S Jet Lag, Zen with Hot Stones, Oil-Harmony, and Couples Massage. Other services at the spa include manicure-pedicure, hairdressing, Caribbean braids, and hydrotherapy.
If the spa isn't for you but you still want to relax, be sure to take advantage of the two pools, where you will find a swim-up bar at each one. You will also find umbrellas for shade, and you can hop in the hot tub whenever you please.
If you prefer to relax on the white-sand beach, you will find three beach bars. You will also find seven more bars/lounges throughout the property. Relax on the beach with a view of crystal blue waters -- which in itself should put you at ease.
During the day, you will have many other options for activities and fun. If you like to be on the water and you're highly adventurous, you can try windsurfing. If you're slightly adventurous, then you might want to go sailing. If you would like to go at your own speed, hop in a kayak. And if you would like to see what the underwater environment looks like in Punta Cana, you can go snorkeling.
Other options are to visit Dolphin Island Park and Saona Island. When you visit the former, you can swim with dolphins. When you visit the latter, it's time to kickback and relax on a tranquil beach, and you might seem some starfish.
Kids Have Fun
If you're traveling with kids, they will never get bored at The Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana! In addition to our pools, we have a miniature golf course and a Fun Park. Babysitting services are offered as well, where your children can swim, paint, explore nature, and more. This service is offered so you can enjoy a few hours with your significant other or on your own without having to worry about entertaining the kids!
Punta Cana Nightlife
At nighttime, you can dance the night away at Congas Bachata Disco, which reopened in 2018. This disco remains open until 2 a.m., so there is no rush. Take your time to have a drink, grab a partner, and bust a move! If you would rather sing than dance, the Karaoke Piano Bar is also open until 2 a.m. If you prefer the bar scene, you can hang out at the Terrace Bar until midnight.
Orquidea is considered the main restaurant at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana. It's a buffet that's open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The theme will change every night. Dishes might include fresh steamed red snapper, hand cut steak, fresh grilled lobster. For breakfast, you might find smoked salmon, caviar, quail eggs along with fresh fruit.
Mikado Japanese Restaurant is a must-go. And when you do go, be sure to try the miso soup and sake rice wine. You will find the service and atmosphere to be exceptional. If it's not busy, you can even request to meet the chef.
El Pescador Restaurant is a seafood restaurant that takes reservations. Due to high demand, it's recommended that you make reservations as early as possible. You can dine beachside. Regardless of where you sit, the lobster, seafood lasagna, and bacalo (dried and salted codfish) are popular choices. This is a high-energy restaurant with attentive service and strong drinks.
Garden Grill Restaurant is a steakhouse. The aroma should hit you whenever you're nearby. This is a popular choice for guests. If you look at the reviews for the Garden Grill Restaurant on any restaurant review site, you will see that it's highly rated everywhere. Due to the restaurants popularity, reservations are recommended.
Restaurant Maiko is another Japanese-themed restaurant, but Maiko is more focused on sushi. The other big selling point is that you get to watch the chef work his magic with knives. Your meal will be prepared in front of you. Everyone enjoys this, but if you're traveling with family, the kids are likely to appreciate it the most.
Tex Mex Santa Fe offers vibrant décor, a friendly atmosphere, and a blend of Mexican and American cuisine. Don't be fooled by the short description. This is the highest-rated restaurant on this list by guests.
Capriccio Restaurant offers traditional Italian cuisine. Reservations recommended.
BBQ Restaurant in the Olas allows you to enjoy perfectly cooked meats in a buffet-style setting.
Los Corales Restaurant offers authentic Dominican food. You can dine outside on the patio for a memorable experience.
As you can see, there is a lot to do and plenty to eat when you stay at Grand Bahia Principe Punta Cana! One thing that shouldn't be overlooked, though: When you're here, you will be treated like family. This is the primary reason so many guests are already planning to return after their vacation is over.
