This renovation will bring significant updates to the lobby, restaurants, and pools, as well as to the Privilege Lounge in this hotel. During this period of improvements, Privilege Club members will continue to receive the usual assistance from the Privilege Concierge team, which will be temporarily located in the hotel’s secondary lobby (formerly known as Bahia Principe Grand Bavaro).
The Orquidea buffet restaurant is set to reopen under its new name, Nacar. During these enhancements, Bouganville buffet will remain operational as an alternative dining option. The Mikado Japanese restaurant will also transition into Nomad—a Mongolian specialty venue—while Maiko continues serving authentic Japanese cuisine.
Post-renovation, Garden Grill will emerge as Flame, offering a tantalizing steakhouse experience. Additionally, Daiquiri Lobby Bar will be rebranded as Palma Lobby Bar—a perfect spot for enjoying delightful drinks whether in the lobby vicinity or outdoors in the terrace. Coffee enthusiasts can also look forward to a brand-new Coffee Shop, an iconic sport that made its debut with the renovation of Bahia Principe Luxury Ambar back in 2018, and that today is also available at Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal.
