Our Brand Ambassador is celebrating her first year as part of the #PrivilegeFamily. Marbel Morales, Privilege Concierge at the Riviera Maya, is from the nearby town of Merida, the heart of Yucatan and where Colonial and Mayan collide in a delightful scenery.
If you would choose a word that bests describes your experience at the BPPC, what word would it be?
It would be “Happiness”. I feel so happy every day that I come to work, every time I have the opportunity to share experiences and laugh along with visiting members or with my colleagues; my goal is to get a laugh out of people and then to bring a sense of great happiness, especially during their vacations.
How would you describe a typical day as part of the Privilege Concierge team at the Riviera Maya?
Full of laughter and friendship. I’m so lucky to have such a great team! We start every day with a smile and positive energy and we try to share this good mood to the people around us. We approach members to learn about their stay, and if there is anything we can do for them. Our collective thinking is that, even if it is a small gesture, it can go miles for a greater vacation experience.
Do you have any special story that you remember since you’ve been with the Club?
All stories are special for me and I feel lucky to have met so many great people. I remember helping a couple of guests to prepare a drink, they wanted to taste something different. As we mixed different ingredients, a sweet tasting cocktail was developed. They started calling it “The Marbelita”, expressing how this would become a fun anecdote to tell their friends and family back home. It was one of those fun moments that proves that when you love what you do, then you will never work a day in your life. I’m very happy to still be in touch with these guests.
What element what would you promote to encourage members to visit Riviera Maya?
Culture, of course, every part of Mexico is full of color, music and history. Archeological sites, small towns, cenotes, haciendas, folkloric dances, great food and beautiful beaches. I’m in love with my Mexico!
Tell us about your travels… Do you have a destination in mind for your next vacation?
I love to travel, it is the best way to learn about other cultures. I have traveled to Europe and Africa and during the past 3 years. I’ve been discovering the hidden treasures within Mexico. My next trip will be to Chiapas and after that, I am heading to Canada. My big dream is to tour the continent through the Pan-American Highway.
