Jerome & Joelle Godts: Their Experience

This New Year is kicking off to a great start. Member reminisce about their previous vacation and start planning the next one.

Whether it is a Bahia Principe resort in the Caribbean or a ski adventure nearby France, their home country, Jerome & Joelle Godts are enthusiastic about putting together their escapades. Read on as they go into detail about their experience in the testimonial below.

“We love quiet and relaxing trips. Therefore we are sure we will have some pampering by going to a Bahia Principe that is adults-only.

Usually we travel both, my wife and I as a couple… But this past October 2017 we took our children Thomas and Maxime with us because I was celebrating my retirement. We booked a week in Bahia Principe Grand El Portillo . Followed by another week in Bahia Principe Grand Samana, which we completely loved. This became a family vacation to remember.

We knew El Portillo as we had visited back in 2013, when we became Club members. First with a little apprehension which quickly dissipated shortly after. For us it was certain that we would return to the hotel, so we decided to acquire 30 Membership Weeks. Since then many miles have been flown –we went to Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an, Bahia Principe Luxury Bouganville. We visited twice Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar, then finally returned to the hotels in Samana this year.

Our favorite hotel, mostly due to the beach is El Portillo, but the hotel where we found the staff to be the kindest is Bahia Principe Grand Samana, which also features world-class service, luxurious facilities and well, the location. The Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an in Riviera Maya is also superb, albeit a trolley away from the beach.

All the hotels are very good and do not disappoint, except the beach of Bougainville where the water is not always at its best.

We go on vacation 4 to 5 times a year, dividing our escapades between skiing, visiting Les Landes around the South West of France and visiting the Caribbean, a Bahia Principe hotel most likely. As Joelle will be retiring in about 4 years, we look forward to visiting the Caribbean at least twice a year, and should the quality of service remain as it is, then Bahia Principe will be our destination.

Following the routine, we leave soon to ski in La Plagne. Then to Tignes in March, and perhaps a trip to Tunisia in May. We are thinking about returning to the Dominican Republic in October 2018, and go to return to El Portillo and Samana. We would like to visit Cuba in the future, where we secretly hope a Bahia Principe would open.

Of course we recommend the Club, it only takes one vacation for anyone to want to return. This time around we met a Privilege Concierge who is very kind and whom really dedicates himself to its members: Luis Rustan… he is a model employee!”
