Spence Family: Why Being Privilege Club members is the best

Tell us about your travel experience. What is your ideal getaway?

Living in the Great White North, in Ontario, Canada, we yearn for that break from the cold. I love traveling with my kids and grandkids, the more the merrier. When my own kids were younger, the budget did not allow us to travel and life was busy. So, to be able to do this now has been a wonderful experience and having the chance to share the holiday with my grandkids is the icing on the cake!

What motivated you the most to become Privilege Club members?

While on vacation in Jamaica we were approached to discuss the membership. After several hours of talking and getting all the facts about the program, together with my son Matt and his wife Sam, my daughter Jenn and her husband James, we all decided to become members. We loved all the perks the Club showcased. From the carts to get you around, the a-la-carte dining every night, the top shelf alcohol and the Privilege Lounge.

We have travelled at the least once a year. Our ideal plan would be twice a year, May and December.

What is your favorite destination? Why?

I would have to say Jamaica. We have been to Bahia Principe Grand Jamaica three times now and it has never disappointed us. The Privilege Beach is awesome especially for kids, with mostly calm and clear waters. You can walk out quite far which is ideal for fun in the water for both kids and adults. The staff at the bar are the best – Robert and Chris –those guys are rock stars.

The food is excellent, who doesn’t love jerk chicken in Jamaica –It is great place to kick back and relax in Jamaican time Mon!

Would you recommend the Privilege Club? Why?

If you travel at least once a year, the Privilege Club is the way to go. The savings add up quickly, and in no way when we go on holidays do we expect the special treatment. It feels pretty great that as members we get that VIP treat!

The Club goes above and beyond to make your stay a wonderful one. We’ve also met some pretty great fellow Club members and have kept in touch with them, thus meeting once more during another vacation. There are many positives to being a Privilege Club member!

It’s so great going in to a big resort and going in the Privilege Lounge to check-in as you are greeted by name. Then there is the feeling of arriving at your room and having your requests met.

Do you have your next destination sighted?

We visited the Bahia Principe Riviera Maya resort before we were members –maybe we can try the Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal hotel next time. Last spring we stayed at Bahia Principe Fantasia Punta Cana, so perhaps we could arrange a vacation at another area in the Dominican Republic. It is a possibility since there are several options available.
