Made with coconut and milk, these coconut bites or “Cocada” is one of the most popular sweet treats in Latin America, serving as a simple snack or a dessert for anyone with a sweet tooth. We leave you a simple recipe that you can enjoy with your friends and family.
Ingredients:
- 3 cups of shredded coconut
- 1 pound of crushed cashew nuts
- 1 1/2 bottle of honey
- 5 cinnamon sticks
Directions:
- In a pot or saucepan add all the ingredients and mix well.
- Cook on low heat for about 30 minutes and allow to cool.
- If you wish you can make small balls to serve and sprinkle additional coconut zest.
