At a very high level, let me first say that since the first time we set foot at the Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal many, many… many years ago, we were infatuated with this hotel and knew that we wanted to be a part of this special place in the Caribbean, thus we became Privilege Club Members.
Since becoming members we have celebrated numerous special occasions while visiting Bahia Principe. Among them, our 25th and 30th wedding anniversary and my 60th birthday. Our son essentially grew up visiting this resort with us; my mother-in-law had her first experience traveling outside of the US, and my brother-in-law and his family became members on their first visit.
As you can see we have shared this special place in the Caribbean with family members either by having them join us for a stay at the Bahia Principe Riviera Maya resort or even with pictures.
Witnessing the growth of the resort has also been part of our experiences such as the construction of Bahia Principe Grand Coba and the continual expansion of Bahia Principe Luxury Sian Ka’an and Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal.
We started traveling as a family, but since our son is an adult now, my wife and I travel for pleasure, lots of rest and relax, and of course much pampering. For the ambiance, the location, the staff, the service, and overall the feeling of being welcomed and at home.
Generally we take one big trip a year, and honestly, each year we look forward to returning to the Bahia Principe Riviera Maya resort. A few years ago we traveled to Jamaica and to the Dominican Republic, for comparative purposes. Having experienced each destination we can feel certain that our favorite place is the Riviera Maya, specifically Bahia Principe Luxury Akumal, due to its adult-only section and proximity to the beach. The view of the ocean just adds more to our memories.
We would definitely recommend the Privilege Club. We are proud to be members and share our experiences with friends and family. Our membership has enabled us to have awesome service and support which allows us to have wonderful experiences.
There are several anecdotes I could share, but I would rather make one comment –It is such a warm feeling to be able to return to the hotel year after year and rekindle with various staff members throughout the resort… just ask Narendra Orvin, part of the Privilege Concierge.
At this point, our plan is to return to our special place in the Caribbean next spring if not sooner… and for many, many, many more years.
